Who am I?

Your advocate for life

PLEASE NOTE: Lester Law will be open by appointment only now through January 8, 2018. If you require more immediate legal help, please contact another attorney.

It is my mission to be an affordable attorney in Denver for family law and estate planning matters. I offer both affordable full representation and unbundled or task-based legal help. No matter what option you choose, all my fees are a flat rate, so you know the total cost up front.

I became a lawyer to help people – to make a difference in the life of someone who is an everyday hero. That’s why I built my affordable family law practice around four core values.

It is my belief that clients have certain rights when being represented by an attorney and that everyone should have affordable access to the law. I keep costs low by working virtually and make myself accessible during non-traditional business hours.

Lester Law focuses on providing affordable legal help with family law and estate planning cases. If you need an affordable attorney in Denver for help with a divorce, child custody, child support, drafting a will, establishing an advance directive, establishing a power of attorney, drafting a prenup, drafting a cohabitation agreement, or obtaining a protection order, please contact me today.

Why is divorce so expensive (too)? Blame the Lawyers

Last year, I wrote about why divorce is so expensive and explained how, in many cases, it’s the spouses who drive up the price. How to Save Money on a Divorce Without Children

How to Save Money on a Divorce Without Children

A few weeks ago, I wrote about how to save money on a divorce when children were involved. The same can be said about a divorce without children. While you can get divorced in Colorado without the help of an attorney, it’s generally not recommended. Attorneys help ensure your rights are being protected throughout the…

How Getting Married Affects Your Will

How Getting Married Affects Your Will

A few weeks ago, I posted about how getting divorced affects your will, but it’s not just divorce that can affect your will. Getting married can also have an effect. In Colorado, surviving spouses have certain rights when it comes to their spouses’ estate, despite what the deceased spouse’s will may say. The two most…

Why Marriage is a Business Decision

Why Marriage is a Business Decision

Although business isn’t the most romantic topic to discuss on Valentine’s Day, it is important to understand that in many ways the decision to get married is a business one. Having a piece of paper that legally binds you to your significant other won’t change your personal connection or devotion to each other. Couples can…
